Welcome

edit

Hello, and welcome to editing Wikipedia. I hope you will have a successful time here. However, I think it best to warn you that the draft you have created has no chance at all of being accepted as an article. There are several reasons for that, but probably the most important one is that Wikipedia doesn't allow any kind of promotional editing, which includes editing to promote a point of view or to campaign on any issue. You are, of course, very welcome to start contributing to the encyclopaedia in a neutral way, in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and I hope you will do so. If, however, your only interest is in campaigning on the issue of children's competitive sports, then I wish you every success in doing so, but Wikipedia isn't the place to do it.

My advice to new editors is that it is best to start by making small improvements to existing articles, rather than creating new articles. That way any mistakes you make will be small ones, and you won't have the discouraging experience of repeatedly seeing hours of work deleted. Gradually, you will get to learn how Wikipedia works, and after a while you will know enough about what is acceptable to be able to write whole new articles without fear that they will be deleted. Over the years I have found that editors who start by making small changes to existing articles and work up from there have a far better chance of having a successful time here than those who jump right into creating new articles from the start. One other point that I forgot to mention when I posted the message above. A user page is for a bit of information about someone who is active in contributing to the encyclopaedia, in relation to their editing, and other material shouldn't be there, so I shall delete it. I am not at present going to delete the duplicate page you created as a draft, though it possibly could be deleted as it is promotional. JBW (talk) 17:10, 15 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Slytherin.Ash.Drarry. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Competitive Youth Sports Are They Beneficial For Kids Or Do They Have A Negative Impact On Kids?".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Eternal Shadow Talk 16:26, 15 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
