Health initiatives

edit

Hey, I have been working on improving the article Health initiatives, which as far as I can tell was created by you. I have been doing this as part of WikiProject Wikify. The article has been laid out better and the links formatted to standards, however the article is still classed as a "stub". This means that there is not much content in the article, and it needs to be improved. If you have any more information on the topic, feel free to improve. Also, if you have information on any of the people linked to in the article or Medi-Share (the company linked in article) then please create pages for them - it will help make the article better. Thanks, TheFearow 23:12, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you TheFearow! I will complete the rest of the pages. Thank you so much for your help! Slstsang

Notability

edit

Hi. I noticed you've created some articles related to Ageless IDEAS, but I'm having trouble judging the subjects' notability. Before you get too carried away, you might want to read over the guidelines at Wikipedia:Notability and make sure that the articles are appropriate for an encyclopedia. Thanks. Hey NickelShoe, so you're telling me that because you have trouble judging the subjects you just delete it? Do you know how hard it is for a beginner to grasp wikipedia? you sure make a newbie feel welcome. What a wikipolice. Just so you know, we all have jobs and it takes time to build something, how could you just act like a bad cop and say "nope" not good enough, "DELETE"???

Hey there. What gave you the idea I deleted anything? Check out the deletion log[1] for the admin who deleted the article. I don't even have the power to delete, and the only article of yours I tagged for deletion is the William Harry White one. Instead I've been trying to help you.
If you want to get used to Wikipedia, it's probably a better idea to start by working on existing articles to get a feel for the place instead of starting fresh ones. NickelShoe (Talk) 23:34, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Paul Nussbaum

edit

A tag has been placed on Paul Nussbaum, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NickelShoe (Talk) 17:19, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of William Harry White

edit

William Harry White has been proposed for deletion. I felt this person might not be notable enough for an article. Please review Wikipedia:Notability (people) for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" template, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod template, the article will not be deleted, but if an editor is still not satisfied that it meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Wait a second!!! people have jobs you know, it takes time to build something, not everyone is like you doing this fulltime and play police. You give wikipedia a bad name, as a newbie i feel very offended and take it personal. i left for the weekend and today this is what i get? mark for deletion? why are you so hostile?

Hostile? I left you a polite note explaining my reasoning and I used a form of deletion which allows you to stop the process (which you did). I'm not sure how that's hostile. The article is now tagged as needing more support for the notability, so you can still work on it. A judgment of the article isn't a judgment on you--I don't see evidence that this person meets notability requirements. But I'm giving you some time to work on it. Speedy deletion of William Harry White

edit

A tag has been placed on William Harry White requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
