Why is it that managments support for prop 8 is not relevant in slearwig's view?
It is relevant. With regrets to any personal differences, I moved it to appear under "Controversies > Accusations of right-wing orientation" where the subject follows the declaration by John Sr. that the Foundation shall not be political or religiously-biased in its support of various scientific causes. The foundation of course has become completely biased. I hope you agree with the expanded background on the subject. If not, let me know.
I think the issue is whether the prop 8 funding comes from the Foundation or not - that had not been clear although I have now sourced an article about this issue where it is clearly stated that the prop 8 funding did not come from the Foundation. I have left it in 'accusations' with this qualification and a one line descriptor of prop 8. Any more on prop 8 must go on a prop 8 page, I think. More detail on this on the Foundation page, which did not provide the funding according to the article sourced, seems superfluous. I also removed reference to prop 8 in management as it is not necessary to have it mentioned twice. Gendq (talk) 22:30, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
I left your additions alone, but added that the Foundation has stated these were personal and private contributions as per my edit that referenced this source. I think it's down to someone else to decide whether there's too much detail on prop 8 that couldn't be linked from this page to a wiki page on this controversy. California Cancer Research Act edit
Hi. I noticed your concern over California Cancer Research Act. I've looked and don't see any significant issue with the content, other than, as you mention, it doesn't have much about opposition to the Act. If you think this could be addressed, then please feel free to add appropriately cited information about opposition that would balance the article. Demonoid edit

That's funny. I clicked that link and Demonoid blinked on and off repeatedly. I then received a slew of pop up windows for ads. I closed the page tab, and got more ad pop-ups. I'm not going to tell you how I removed it.
And you are damn straight I did leave my comments, and I did that in Good Faith for the folks at Demonoid to read and make corrections. This is because the drive-by shit may have been caused by the sponsor's banner, and not the fault of Demonoid. All the same, the problem needs to be sorted. People don't need ,malware fucking up their day, no matter where it comes from. It was on that link page.
So tell me. Are you from Demonoid? Because my beef is Not With Demonoid, except to fix that drive-by problem.

I may have to wash out my mouth with soap. But I'll make you a bet. Click the link and look for the bar with "Home", "Torrents", "Top Torrents", etc. Click on the "Torrents" button next to the Home button. See the blink? See the pop-ups? One will appear every minute. The first pop-up that I got was for "Watch Live T.V." A video played, and I received several other pop-ups. Now It Might Be My Fault for running an ancient XP system, but my computer slowed way down, and the video continued to play after I closed the browser. So it could be that the video player in use by the pop-up doesn't play nice with older systems. Btw, I can play YouTube and other videos on this system with no problems.
But I've had malware browser hijackings in the past that behaved exactly the same way, with unaccountable pop-ups after leaving the page, slowdowns of the system, and videos that refused to close with the browser. So I hope you understand.

- If you (still/again) think the link should be removed from the article then please post on the article's talk page so other editors besides you and I can check how the link works for them. Also Wikipedia:Assume good faith is a guideline that everyone should follow, it was completely out of line of you to instantly accuse me of being related to Demonoid simply because I reverted your bad edit.
