Undoing redirect on Bugoy Bogayan

edit

Hi. I see you removed the redirect on the article placed there after an AfD debate. Please note, this isn't meant as a personal attack - I've spent well over a year editing articles on Wikipedia and have no interest in pursuing any form of vendetta against any person, group or article. All I'm trying to do is help Wikipedia by ensuring that any articles submitted conform to its own guidelines. In the case of this article, plus a few others, although I'm sure you've spent a lot of time making the articles, you don't seem to have read Wikipedia's guidelines on what sort of articles are considered suitable for inclusion. Simply because one individual finds a particular person or persons interesting, that doesn't mean that Wikipedia is the place for an article about them - that's why I suggested you read WP:BIO and WP:N which give Wikipedia's guidelines for what makes a person notable enough to be included. Anyway, regarding your removal of the redirect - this is considered dubious practice as you're trying to overturn a consensus opinion - the very reason the article went through AfD in the first place. The only real reason you could have for this is if the article had been substantially changed so that it now met the various criteria - but I checked, and it hadn't. If you're convinced that this person deserves an article, then you can take the matter to Wikipedia:Deletion review, and make your case there. Again, please remember, this isn't an attack on you - just an attempt to ensure you follow Wikipedia guidelines, the same guidelines everyone else who contributes articles (including me) have to follow. Proposed deletion of SK Baguio Broadcasting Corporation

edit

The article SK Baguio Broadcasting Corporation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a non-existing cable channel (or a small company formed a few weeks ago). No independent reliable sources. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. Reference [2] does not provide the information it is cited for, instead it says "Under Construction. Click on the Icon to go to our Wikipedia page" (this article).

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. HaeB (talk) 19:08, 17 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
