Hi

Thanks for deciding to contribute to Wikipedia. However your article Tomas Shatner appears to be totally fictitious. It has been deleted. Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. If I am wrong, or for some reason you think what you wrote should be kept please explain why here. DJ Clayworth 18:23, 30 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

The article is not fictitious, and in saskatchewan Tomas Shatner has had a sort of resurgence recently, becoming more popular as old newspaper clippings have resurfaced. He is not perhaps as popular as i indicated in the article, but in Saskatchewan and in Swift Current at least, Shatner lore is very well known. How can I resubmit the article?

To start with you need some sources to back up what you say about Tomas Shatner. You also need to be very sure that everything you say about this person is correct. The picture you added was of Tomas Shatner, head of the Native American Publishing Corporation, who would be very surprised to learn that he was a Richard Nixon imporsonator who died in 1985. Please read Wikipedia:Verification and Wikipedia:Neutral point of view before you re-submit anything. Also read Wikipedia:Biography to be sure this person is notable enough to deserve an article. If you do that, and add verifiable references to the article, and stick to correct and neutral reporting, your article will not be deleted. DJ Clayworth 18:42, 30 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:000fz.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:000fz.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:04, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Claudiasalazar.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Claudiasalazar.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:46, 25 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
