Charles Crowie Smith is a hitherto little known Christian Evangelist born in Derby, England in 1850. He was converted in 1880 during a Salvation Army street mission. He preached alongside General William Booth and the famous evangelist "Rodney "Gipsy" Smith".
I've come across his biography, a book written in 1937 about his amazing life which positively touched thousands across the UK.
In his teens he was also the UK Champion 'human' Rat-Worrier, but I cannot find out much about the sport of 'Human' Rat Worrying!!?? Anyone?
