  Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Talk radio. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Bdb484 (talk) 21:29, 16 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 21:48, 16 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of HotTalkLA

edit

A tag has been placed on HotTalkLA, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 22:12, 16 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Friendly warning

edit

Hi there. I see you're relatively new here, so you may not be familiar with some of the protocols here. Besides WP's standards that require all content to adhere to a neutral point of view and be referenced from a reliable source, we also want to encourage stability and consensus-building in the way we edit. That means that there are requirements that you not engage in what we call "edit warring." You can find a full explanation of the policy through that link, but to distill it, you should not continually revert someone's edits, as you are doing at Talk radio, as it's a good way to get yourself blocked.

It also looks like you may also be involved in some other problematic edits:

  • When someone places a tag on an article requesting speedy deletion, the creator of that page may not remove it, as you did at HotTalkLA;
  • Your username indicates that you may in fact be an employee of HotTalkLA, whose page you have been editing. If that is the case, it also presents conflict of interest problems. Please read those guidelines for advice on how to handle such edits;
  • Please also be aware of policies on external links. You can read about the most relevant policies at WP:ELNO and WP:ADV.

Thanks, and good luck with your future edits. — Bdb484 (talk) 16:27, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
