Hi Shinerweb

Wikipedia has strict limits on external links which you can read here. I am sorry I do not think the site you added meets them.--Charles (talk) 16:56, 26 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

No need to apologise, it's my bad for not reading the guidelines properly in the first place (after all this was my first edit despite the time I've been a user/account holder, but ignorance is not an excuse). The website that was linked to in this instance is one of the two village magazines. Bramley is a village of about 5500 people and the site I linked to is a non-profit organisation (registered UK Charity).Bramley265 is a much talked about part of our village life. The View was born from Bramley265 by two school children. etc etc. Specifically which 'rule' or rules from WP:EL do you think it violates? (just in case I make the same mistake again). Or, do you have any recommendations on how best to approach this? Should a seperate Wiki Entry be created for both "Bramley265" and "The View"? Apologies once again for adding to your Wiki workload, I do appreciate all that the few UK editors that there are do, and I don't mean to add to it. Shinerweb (talk) 06:16, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
When we start they say there are no rules, but then it turns out there are forests of guidelines and policies. Wikipedia does not cover everything-there are notability guidelines and those magazines will not qualify. You may be able to use the magagazine url as an inline reference so that it appears in the reference section, although an independent source such as a newspaper article would be preferred. Have to go now. Will try to get back later.--Charles (talk) 13:22, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
