Night Sun

edit

Hello!

I've put a speedy deletion tag on Night Sun, but just so Night sun can be moved there. If a page gets moved the whole editing history comes along with it, which is much better than a copy/paste. I hope you don't mind! :) --Lijnema 21:29, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

About the deletion: an admin thought that Night Sun fell under criteria for speedy deletion, namely section A7:Unremarkable people, groups, companies and web content, because it failed the guidelines for notability of musicians. Just so you know. Trying to re-create the article isn't a good idea. I'm checking with the admin who deleted the article, to see if they'll put it back. --Lijnema 22:31, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Okay, here's the deal. I have the article in my userspace, that means it's not a real wikipedia article right now. It needs cleaning up a lot (for instance you can't write articles in the first person, and you can't write any opinions you have (like this is good, this is bad)), and there need to be some sources and so on. So right now the article is at User:Lijnema/Night Sun, where I'll see if I can get it cleaned up and eventually re-added as a real article. --Lijnema 22:47, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Naveed.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Naveed.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:00, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Looking Glass (AUS band)

edit

A tag has been placed on Looking Glass (AUS band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mattinbgn\talk 04:41, 10 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Night Sun

edit

The article Night Sun has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seemingly non-notable short-lived band and my searches found nothing at all.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
