Why did you destroy the links to other language versions in the Article on Hebrew? You put "Hebrejstina" instead of "Hebrejština", "Hebraische Sprache" instead of "Hebräische Sprache", "Hebreu" instead of "Hébreu", etc. - all these links were thus destroyed! You should get a browser or editor that can handle special characters. Babelfisch 00:54, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)

  • Ooops! It was some clipboard problem, not browser's or editor's one. Fixed.

Thanks a lot. Shaul 17:47, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi Shaul

would you be able to set up category:he-0 and template:user he-0 as in "fr" and "ke" which are meant to house those who have some awareness of the language but know very, very little. Which is where I am of course. I am in as he-1 but I believe that over states my competence. As this has a few takers in other languages I believe an entry for Hebrew would be in order. I understand the Wiki part of it but not the 'text' to use, for obvious reasons. Kevinalewis 14:50, 5 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Shaul:

On the page for Dov Gazit, you edited out the comment (short form variation of Borislav) refering to Borys. Please refer to several name sites, such as http://www.babynamer.com/Boris which provide the following... Meaningof Borislav: Its source is bor slav, a Slavic name meaning "Glorious battle." Nickname For: Borislav Nicknames: Borja Alternative Spellings: Borris and Borys Since not only my limited Russian, and that of my Russian relatives concur with my original comment, but so to do several references, I will, with your agreement, reintroduce the explanation you had deleted. Notability of Stanislaw Wygodzki edit

A tag has been placed on Stanislaw Wygodzki requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 15:24, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
