Sharara
editHi, Thanks for your question. I did have to look it up, but in Hans Wehr's Dictionary of Modern Written Arabic we find šarāra meaning 'spark'. Interestingly, it is formed from the root šrr which normally connotes evil, but can also connote vivacity. However, I do wonder what the notability of the article sharara is... Peace, Drmaik 05:40, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks very much for taking time to look up origin. So far notability is concerned, to the best of my knowledge, sharara is the only hindi word (of arabic origin) meaning of which do not change from central India to Sudan, Libya. I wonder how many hindi words are there.
And if you give google search, you will find webpages about Indian-Pakistani ladies costume. Some user can easily write article named 'sharara' and go on describing costume giving hundreds of reputed web, fashion magazine references. But I want to make sense of it all. Hence trying to incorporate everything about the word 'sharara' so that the person searching for sharara get all info associated with it in one article. Thanks. sharara 12:47, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

About the deletion process
editHello there. I see you have some confusion regarding the deletion process. Consider the following:
- Please do not reinstate a prod tag after a user has removed it from an article. If you still feel an article should be deleted, use the AfD process instead.
- Please do not issue vandalism warnings to users who remove prod tags. Prod removal is an acceptable Wikipedia procedure, and the author who removes a prod tag is not obligated to improve the article in any way. Again, once a prod tag has been removed, if you feel the article should be deleted, use the AfD process instead.
- Please do not place db (speedy deletion) tags in article with personal motivations, such as "the author has removed a prod tag", or "this article is unreferenced", or "the subject of this article is not notable". These are not valid speedy deletion criteria. For a list of acceptable speedy deletion criteria, see WP:CSD.
Thank you! --Nehwyn (talk) 15:59, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- And please do not delete other people's user pages.86.145.7.244 (talk) 14:45, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi Sharara, I reverted your last comment to the above page, because you removed/refactored other editor's comments. Feel free to add comments, but please leave the comments made by other editors as they are. Thanks! Ariel♥Gold 15:29, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I checked after my post and found that everyone was person of the year. It is outragious that named me also persona of the year 2006 without informing me.
BTW, do you think Jimbo Wales will ever be named person of the year by TIME magazine? I don't think so.
As I was person of the year 2006, here is my brand new autograph. I don't know how it is going to look. sharara 15:42, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- Signature looks good :) You might want to make a link to this talk page, though, so people don't need to click to get to it from your userpage. You could split up your name, and make 'Shar' go to your userpage, and 'ara' go to the talk page :) Ariel♥Gold 15:43, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, your post wasn't a problem Sharara, but you removed the edits of another editor, so I undid your edit, simply re-post, but this time, scroll down to the bottom to put it on a new line, so nothing is removed. Sorry I was not more clear! And I'm sure you didn't intend to remove Susanlesch's edits, so don't worry, it has happened to all of us! Ariel♥Gold 15:59, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
