This article should be promptly deleted. Just plain old mindless hatemongering. I had added 'citation needed' tags to various lines in this article but now they are all gone. And making sweeping assertions like 'Muslims of Kolkata have to face discrimation and humiliation on an almost daily basis' and 'The Muslims of Kolkata have to face treatment similar to that faced by Blacks and African-Americans in USA'. Is this guy a pakistani or something??!! He seems totally unaware of ground realities in Kolkata. And yes, I am a Kolkatan and a muslim and till date have not been treated like an 'African American in USA' by even the streetsweeper lol.
I know the economic picture of many muslims in West Bengal is not rosy. But remember, there are more poor hindus than there are poor muslims. Poverty afflicts all communities in India. So lets not talk about "Muslim poverty" and "Hindu poverty" please.
