I definitely agree with you in that the page already has a good amount of references, but the more the merrier! Generally, I think your plan looks really good.

The first thing I noticed on your page is that the sections ‘Non-Political Application’, ‘Contributions’, and ‘Criticism’ could definitely be developed and expanded. Also, it seems to me that the theory partially implies that the audience is generally passive. There is a theorist, John Fiske, that challenges the view of a passive audience in Television: Polysemy and Popularity (1986). I think this could be a helpful source to expand the criticism section. Another contribution could be made in the ‘History’ section. This section states that news media are the principal connection between events in the world and the images in the minds of the public. This section can be expanded by delving deeper in the role played by journalists though, for example, Where is the author in American TV news? On the construction and presentation of Proximity, Authorship and Journalistic Authority, Zelizer, B. (1990).
