File copyright problem with File:KHS New Badge.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:KHS New Badge.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 03:50, 2 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

March 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, a number of your recent file uploads, such as File:KHS New Badge.jpg, have been missing information regarding their copyright status. Please note that Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously and that the copyright status of all media files uploaded to Wikipedia must be verifiable by others. If you have questions regarding copyright on Wikipedia, they can be raised at the copyright question page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 04:17, 2 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Smktk.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Smktk.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Multiple problems: You licensed the image as {{PD-old}}, which is blatantly incorrect. 2) The original source can't be facebook, it must come from a school-related site/source. 3) The author would not be a 'facebook team', it would be the school (or whomever at the school is credited for it- which would be found at the school's site). Given these problems, it is considered as a copyright violation here. If you get the correct source & author (and the appropriate license would probably be {{non-free logo}} and not PD-old), you can re-contact me or list it at WP:Requests for undeletion as long as you have the correct information. Orphaned non-free image File:KHS New Badge.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:KHS New Badge.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:02, 3 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
