Kitten etc

Thanks for the kitten. As for the photo you want to use, you have my permission to use it all you like. Normally, a photo that has been uploaded to Wiki can be used by anyone, unless there is a statement to the contrary. What is your interest in the rock carving?

Thank you for the permission of photo usage. Actually, I don't have a special interest in rock carving. I have been preparing a multimedia enhanced e-book page for the subject "cartilaginous fish" Sharks are the most important member of this group. Rock engraving photo will be in the first part of that page as an interesting point showing the cultural influence of sharks. The user will click on the photo, then an info card will be seen reading as :

A rock engraving made by Aborigines(Australian natives) located near Sydney.

Sharks are important in the culture of Australia. In western culture, they are frequently associated with negative concepts like greediness and danger. On the contrary, in Australian culture, they are associated with strength and nobleness.

By the way, do you have any information about the date of drawing of this engraving?

Thank you for your help.

I must correct you on the subject of sharks. They DO NOT represent strength or nobility. They represent a horrible danger at the beach, as well as the other negative ideas you describe above. For example, a particularly dishonest or ruthless business person is descibed as a shark. If you tell people that sharks represent noble qualities in Oz, you will just make a fool of yourself.

Unfortunately, no, I don't know when the carvings were done. I can only give you the location, which is Bondi Golf Club, between the sewerage outlet and the cliff.
