One of the reviewer's comments on the page is incomprehensible. He/she is under the impression that the biography is of a living person, whereas his dates are 1881-1951. This seems incredibly sloppy.

It's clearly not a bio of a living person. However, like all articles, it requires inline citations - see also WP:REFB.  Chzz  ►  00:12, 18 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is basically ok, but needs about 30 links, & some re-ordering & sections, bringing the basic details of his life higher up. What he was was something like "... a British civil engineer whose career was spent in India, where he was ....". That "needs to be stressed" bit is the wrong tone. Hi. When you recently edited Peter Monamy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Porto Bello (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
