1) On general characteristic there is this phrase:” Purple bacteria use a type II photosystem and have type a or b bacteriochlorophylls”.
(maybe is better delete this part on general characteristic and add when you speak about photosynthesis)
2) On classification of purple bacteria taxonomy: Alpha subdivision contanis different photosynthetic species (as Rhodospirillum, Rhodopseudomonas and Rhodomicrobium) but include also some non-photosyntetic ones of genera with nitrogen metabolism ( Rhizobium , Nitrobacter) whereas in betaproteobacteria subdivision there are few photosynthetic species. Gammaproteobacteria class is divided into 3 subgroups : gamma-1, gamma-2, gamma-3. In gamma-1 subgroup there are the purple photosynthetic bacteria that produce molecular sulfur (Chromatiaceae group and Ectothiorhodospiraceae group) and also the non-photosyntetic species ( as Nitrosococcus oceani[5])
(as external point of view i don't understand if in these group there are purple sulfur bacteria or are only a classification of alfa- and gamma- proteobacteria. So i propose to change the form of the period)
3) I suggest you reverse the order of the "chapters" about photosynthesis and metabolsm.
For the rest, good job!

Thanks guys! I enjoyed reading your work!
It can be improved if:
1) I would suggest to add connections with other articles on wiki at the first paragraph. For example for the word Carotenoids etc.
2)
In the ‘60s the first extremophilic purple bacteria were discovered. Purple sulfur bacteria can be found in different ecosystems with enough sulfates and light, some examples are shallow lagoons polluted by sewage or deep waters of lakes, in which they could even bloom. Blooms can both involve a single or a mixture of species
— in this part sentences sounds a bit unrelated and if is's possible I would recommend to rephrase them and do more connected with each other.
3) References 18, 19, 10, 11 have not enough info about source and it would be great to add more about them (name of the article, other authors).
4) Improve the structure in Ecology part and do it more homogeneous:
Ecology According to the most recent studies, the ecology of purple sulfur bacteria appears to focus mostly on habitats, distribution, and various ecological niches. Ecological niches Quantity and quality of light
— the structure at the beginning of this part is a bit different from the rest and it's not clear because of it.
5) Delete this reference:
enrichment techniques. (siefert et al, 1978). An example
6) for me it's not very clear part of sentence, maybe something missed:
in fact they a discrete success in harsh habitats
7) Check article for typos (I found some typos in the article that can be corrected. If necessary, I can go through the entire list of what I found and show it to one of you);
8) I would suggest to rephrase it because it's a bit not clear sentence.
An example of habitat they live is waste lagoon.
Overall, the article turned out to be very informative and contains all necessary details to provide the reader with comprehensive information about the object! So great job and good luck! C'est ouf (talk) 22:37, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
--Mjolnir96 (talk) 12:13, 30 November 2020 (UTC)It's very difficult to judge your job but according to my opinion you could write more about the metabolism because it is written a little bit.
Hi guys! I'm reviewing your article and it seems to be very complete and good structured. I suggest to review just some small grammatical mistakes, (for instance in the classification paragraph there are "nunsulfur" and "theese", in the metabolism "exteme" and "enviromental", in the distirbution "bot" and in temperature and salinity paragraph "ph") and make sure to write all the species and genera in Italic. Be also sure to adjust the references as already said here. A part from these episodes of little importance, it's all really great! Good job! Killerwhale19 (talk) 10:06, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
