I've reverted for you. I considered unprotecting the template, but I think it is too high risk for that - i.e. if it gets vandalised, the vandalism will show up on a hell of a lot of pages, and be difficult to track down. Hesperian 06:49, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello. I've noted, that you are interested in the Czech classical music. I've also noted, that you copyedited some of my terrible Czenglish spelling (Janáček's works..). Thank you. 1869

An acquaintance sent me a CD he'd made of the 17 April 2007 broadcast on DLR Kultur of the performance I alluded to in the footnote (Oldenburgisches Staatsorchester/Alexander Rumpf). Apparently the date 1869 is stated in the announcer's intro, but that has not been included on the CD. There seems no reason to disbelieve it, though. It's a very good piece, by the way, though that's entirely POV. Cenedi (talk) 12:00, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Many thanks for the Dwight's reference. Here's another I'd forgotten about until this morning: Dietrich, Recollections of Brahms (the English edition, 1899, which I have) p. 72 - Brahms writes to Dietrich from Lichtenthal, letter dated by Dietrich just '1869', but he was there in the summer: "You have given me the greatest pleasure by the dedication of your symphony! If only it is not withheld from us too long ... " On page 73 Dietrich says 'The symphony which I had dedicated was completed; but the acknowledgement of it was long in coming', and then quotes a Brahms letter of Feb 1870. Brahms is acknowledging a copy of the score (printed? Abschrift?) and seems unaware the piece has alredy been performed Cenedi (talk) 09:56, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
