edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Greta Garbo, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. 4twenty42o (talk) 22:00, 15 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

It appears that you are adding a trivia section to the article. Trivia sections, while not exactly forbidden, are discouraged. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia not a blog. - 4twenty42o (talk) 22:18, 15 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding trivia sections to articles where none currently exist. You were cautioned about this yesterday. There is no way to present this content that does not fall under the general meaning of trivia. Wildhartlivie (talk) 23:11, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

First of all, take a look below the edit window where it says "If you do not want your writing to be edited, used, and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here." Secondly, this content has been labelled trivia by more than one editor and it has historically been determined to be trivia since the beginning of Wikipedia. Thirdly, do not start trivia sections where none currently exist. No matter what you call it, listing a bunch of movies or plays that are based on someone's life is not biographically relevant. From this point on, since you have clearly been warned more than once, and you have warned established editors away from your edits, I see no good reason to treat them as anything other than vandalism and thus they will be considered that way from now on. We are trying to rid the encyclopedia of trivia, not add more. And if you have nothing better to say than to tell me to leave "your edits" alone, don't post to my talk page in the future. And do not send me harassing emails via Wikipedia. Any further emails such as the one you sent will be forwarded to OTRS for further action. Like it or not, you're adding trivia and you're about to find yourself blocked for harassing editors who are following guidelines. Wildhartlivie (talk) 23:30, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I consider sending me an email via Wikipedia immediately upon making a post to my talk page to say "Seriously, I find this sort of behavior disturbing. What can you possibly derive from it???" more than just a little harassing. You've been told, this is the third time on this page, that trivia sections are discouraged, guidelines do not support them, and I really do not care to have to repeat myself over and over. Whether you consider it trivia or not, it is considered trivia. That would be what? The fourth time? Garbo Talks is not a film about Garbo, it only uses her name. Musicals about Garbo are not biographical nor apparently even notable since there are no articles about them. A pop song is not biographical and is only sourced to another Wikipedia article, which is forbidden. It, by Wikipedia definition, is trivia. Now please do not send private emails to me via Wikipedia.
