Articles for deletion nomination of The Gender Paradigm

edit

I have nominated The Gender Paradigm, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Gender Paradigm. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. — Timneu22 · talk 14:18, 26 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia

edit

If you are going to 'contribute' in our project, you should probably read up on our policies and guidelines and start participating in discussions concerning your content. We have a strong policy against "edit warring". This means, you cannot force a page by undoing the edits of others to stay in a state that you prefer, without the possible consequence of being blocked. More info on that is at WP:3RR. Generally speaking, we encourage bold edits. But if someone disputes your bold edit, it is never OK to re-instate your new content, without first discussing the issue on the talk page, and trying to reach an agreement. This is part of WP:BRD. If you are going to just revert back to your version, without trying to dialog with other editors on the talk page, without defending your position, and trying to work with other editors, you are going to end up being blocked most likely. We also require that our editors "assume good faith", WP:AGF. Calling someone's edits vandalism could be seen as a personal attack, especially if it doesn't meet WP:VANDAL, which is the case here.

I'd encourage you to stop edit warring, stop trying to force your content into the article, and join the discussion on the talk page, try to convince others of your position or otherwise try to reach some sort of common ground between the parties. We are a community of diverse editors here on Wikipedia, and we must be able to work together and reach compromises, or else the project fails. I'd welcome your contributions, but I'd encourage you more to be an active participant in our community as well. Work with others. Thanks for your consideration. -Andrew c [talk] 17:47, 30 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
