Got your question -- I'm about to go out but should be back at my computer this evening and will leave you a note, with the answer, I hope. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 22:01, 2 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! SarahRW (talk) 22:10, 2 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Take a look at what I just did to your sandbox, and you should be able to figure out how it's done. There are two parts: first, you have to give the reference you want to re-use a name -- I named the first "Street Art" reference "StreetArt". Then instead of inserting the whole reference again, the next time you want to use that source, you put this in instead: <ref name=StreetArt/>. That tells the page that this is a re-used reference, and it tells it which one to use. If you look at the citations list at the end of the page you'll see all four citations are merged into one. Is that what you were looking for? Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 22:39, 2 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Nitpicking: book and journal titles in italics, journal articles in quotes. --Dan Ryan (talk) 06:24, 7 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
