The Artemis Fowl WikiProject edit

Hi. In the last month I have discovered the Artemis Fowl WikiProject and have slowly but surely been making progress. I have, however, noticed that no one else seems to be doing anything. So, it's as simple as this. Respond to this message, or your name gets removed from the participants list and I assume leadership of the WikiProject, because I will actually get something done. You have exactly 1 week, or 7 days, or 168 hours. They all mean the same thing.

However, please know that this is nothing personal against you. This is a generic message sent to every person on the participants list. Thanks for your co-operation. -007bond aka Matthew G aka codingmasters 10:48, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome edit

Welcome!

Hello, Sandmouse, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  TimBentley (talk) 04:27, 29 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ballad edit

You can "pipe" links so that the text displayed is not the link jumped to. If you look at Ballad now, you will see that I modified your change so that it still jumps to "meter (poetry)" but displays "meter". You can use this to correct links that point to the wrong article and still preserve the look of the text. Goldfritha 02:39, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Reply edit

Gah, I knew that, but I'm tired today. x.x And, yes, I know replying like this makes me look stupid.

New WikiProject Illinois Collaboration Division edit

Hey, saw you were a participant in the Illinois WikiProject. I thought I would let you know that there is a new Collaboration Division up for the project. The goal of the division is to select an article or articles for improvement to Good article standard or higher. There is a simple nomination process, which you can check out on the division subpage, to make sure each candidate for collaboration has enough interested editors. This is a good way to get a lot of articles to a quality status quickly. Please consider participating. More details can be seen at the division subpage. IvoShandor 11:31, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:UJRcover.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:UJRcover.jpeg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:08, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

WP:FOWL has only four users who contribute regularly! It would be fantastic if you started editing within the WikiProject again, as we need all the help we can get. Reply here if you would rather not, or on the WikiProject's talk page under the section "Returning Editors" if you would like to rejoin! Laptopdude 16:16, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Dalemarkvol1cover.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Dalemarkvol1cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:53, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Roll Call for WikiProject Artemis Fowl edit

Greetings from the Artemis Fowl Project. Your name is listed on our participants page, but we are unsure of how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the Project's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the Project, please add your name to the active list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the current work. On behalf of the Project, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Happy editing, The Artemis Fowl Project Coordinators'.

Roll Call for WikiProject Artemis Fowl edit

Greetings from the Artemis Fowl Project. Your name is listed on our participants page, but we continue to be unsure of how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the Project's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the Project, please add your name to the active list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarize yourself with the current work. On behalf of the Project, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you have left, then you will have been gone for at least two months, so your name will be removed from the list, and the list will become a single list of only active editors. If you decide to return, please comment on the talk page. Happy editing, The Artemis Fowl Project Coordinators'.

Fair use rationale for Image:Bobcover.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Bobcover.jpeg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 09:54, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
