Speedy deletion nomination of Salman jafri edit

A tag has been placed on Salman jafri requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Salman jafri edit

A tag has been placed on Salman jafri requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Karenjc 20:44, 28 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

just one thing i know u are being paid

i put up this part of the musharraf thing

if u look at this pco was never revoked fully all it was amended thast why iftikhar chaudhry was not allowed to be chief justice under musharraf.

musharraf did an order to amend the laws of pakistan.

Your Edits on Musharraf page edit

Referring to your input on User talk: GeneralNeo here are few clarifications:

1- No one can decide which Chief Justice of Pakistan is constitutional and which is not? You cannot, unilaterally, call Justice Dogor as unconstitutional. Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry was also one of those judges that took oath on PCO on 26th January 2000 as Balochistan High Court Chief Justice. http://www.paksearch.com/br2000/Jan/27/NEWCJ.htm

2- Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry accepted his post as Chief Justice AFTER Chief Justice Dogor retired, means he accepted the constitutional position of Chief Justice Dogor.

3- Kindly note that you are confusing the appointment of the honorable judges with Article-6. Article-6 has nothing to do with appointment of judges. Article-6 can only be applied for holding the 'constitution in abeyance' and that is for the Parliament to decide and NOT the Supreme Court - whatever the SC verdict.

3- Lastly, Article-6 has yet not been brought into the Parliament nor the Senate. There are plain unrealistic slogans by political parties and not even worth adding to Wiki projects.

I have left it presenting both versions and we have to add Mr. Musharraf's version and self defense as well, to make it neutral NPOV. In future, this sub-heading of 'Article-6' will end up being removed from Mr.Musharraf page anyway. Add it to Politics of Pakistan page for any future reference. Thanks

GeneralNeo (talk) 23:29, 8 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Kindly note that I have given these Article-6 clauses in references on Musharraf page, so they are not new. Though I do not believe that Article-6 should be included on Musharraf page at all, and be included in Politics of Pakistan page only, as the matter has NOT been brought in Parliment nor the Senate. Pure slogans and political demands by politicians cannot be considered worthy of including in Wiki projects. Further, one sided decisions by one Supreme Court CANNOT be taken into considerations, especially one that were removed from their jobs and have become party against the former President. Perhaps you should also take into consideration, a verdict by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on 22nd November 2007, that declared Emergency and PCO valid.

Islamabad, Nov 23 (ANI): Pakistans Supreme Court has declared the enforcement of the Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO) and imposition of emergency by President Pervez Musharraf as valid. The apex court order also said that the Judges not taking oath under the PCO ceased to remain on their posts. http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/south-asia/pak-supreme-court-validates-emergency-rule-pco_1006364.html

On February 15 2008: The Supreme Court has delivered detailed judgement to validate the Proclamation of Emergency on 3rd November 2007, the Provisional Constitution Order No 1 of 2007 and the Oath of Office (Judges) Order, 2007. This Full Court judgement is written by Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar. 'The learned Chief Justices and Judges of the superior courts, (Supreme Court of Pakistan, Federal Shariat Court and the High Courts), who have not been given, and who have not made, oath under the Oath of Office (Judges) Order, 2007 have ceased to hold their respective offices on the 3rd of November 2007. Their cases cannot be re-opened being hit by the doctrine of past and closed transaction' http://www.brecorder.com/index.php?id=694527&currPageNo=2&query=&search=&term=&supDate=

Please learn to present a NPOV. Thanks GeneralNeo (talk) 14:39, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

do u actually know anything ? this is article 6 http://www.pakistani.org/pakistan/constitution/part1.html

"High treason. (1) Any person who abrogates or attempts or conspires to abrogate, subverts or attempts or conspires to subvert the Constitution by use of force or show of force or by other unconstitutional means shall be guilty of high treason. (2) Any person aiding or abetting the acts mentioned in clause (1) shall likewise be guilty of high treason. (3) [5] [Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament)] shall by law provide for the punishment of persons found guilty of high treason."

http://www.pakistani.org/pakistan/constitution/ - this is a website which contains details of the emergency order and pco - they are two things issued in november 2007.

http://www.pakistani.org/pakistan/constitution/post_03nov07/pco_1_2007.html - this is the pco - whic caused all the trouble.

http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/news/pakistan/18-contempt-notices-issued-to-pco-judges-am-01 - Contempt notices issued to PCO judges

"ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court issued on Monday contempt notices to a number of judges for having taken oath under the Provisional Constitution Order in defiance of a restraining order issued by a seven-judge bench on Nov 3, 2007 -- the day former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf declared an emergency.

‘We consider it appropriate to issue notice of contempt of court to judges who were judges of the respective high courts on Nov 2 and were appointed after Nov 3 to Dec 15, 2007,’ Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, who is heading a 14-judge bench, announced after day-long proceedings on a set of review petitions moved by judges who were sacked in consequence of the July 31, 2009, verdict declaring the emergency as unconstitutional."

Kindly note the misperceptions you have related to Article-6 and which you pointed on User talk:GeneralNeo. I have tried to clarify them.

Article-6 is an imaginary issue and which has yet NOT been brought into the Parliament, nor has any such procedure been instigated in Senate. Daily and routine rumors cannot be added to Wikipedia projects. If any such proceedings do take place, in near future, then it would be appropriate to include Article-6, otherwise, unrealistic political demands by politicians are routine matters and are not actual implementations. They should be included as 'Updates' in Politics of Pakistan Wiki page. Yet, if you decide to include Article-6 in Mr. Musharraf's page, you must add and present the view points of all parties involved, or remove this 'sub-heading' all-together. Without the viewpoints of ALL CONCERNED PARTIES included, this sub-heading 'Article-6' on Musharraf page cannot be considered as NPOV. You cannot decide unilaterally, which Supreme Court of Pakistan is constitutional and which is not. This below must be added to present NPOV.

Salmanj10 wrote on User talk:GeneralNeo: pco not revoked by musharraf otherwise judges - iftikhar chaudhry would have been chief justice on revocation day.

Please note that PCO was revoked on 16 December 2007. President Pervez Musharraf lifted emergency rule in Pakistan on Saturday, exactly six weeks after imposing it. Simultaneously, he revoked the November 3 provisional constitutional order (PCO) and restored the Constitution, but with all the amendments he made during this period. http://www.thehindu.com/2007/12/16/stories/2007121658470100.htm

Salmanj10 wrote on User talk:GeneralNeo: this bit - musharraf revoked emergency only not the judges thing - the judges part was revoked by the current pm gillani in 2009 the article 6 would be really about the judges being removed from office and to ensure musharraf ends up in jail basically 2nd part is more valid reason.

Please note Article-6 has nothing to do with judges issue. Article-6 is applied incase "Any person who abrogates or attempts or conspires to abrogate, subverts or attempts or conspires to subvert the Constitution". It does not speak about Judges appointment or retirement or their taking oath upon PCO or LFO, something present Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry also took in year 2000.

Though I do not accept unnecessary one-sided reverts by you, however, if you decide to keep this sub-heading on Musharraf page, you must include all viewpoints, that do not fall under vandalism. Kindly refrain from unnecessary edits. However I am availbale for further clarifications. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by GeneralNeo (talkcontribs) 21:26, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
