A subject of an article may not request the deletion of their own article if they in fact meet Wikipedia's criteria for biographic notability. See also Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living persons. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 15:57, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Two factors weigh against this article being eligible for deletion:
  1. While you claim that you can request deletion as being the creator, you are not the only contributor, and I can tell by other edits that there is good faith interest in this person as an article.
  2. While there may be unsourced statements that you may have put in because of your close connection to the subject (and therefore unverifiable information can be challenged and deleted at any time), I see nothing slanderous or otherwise a violation of Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living persons. Olympians or professional athletes who have articles on Wikipedia cannot simply have their articles taken down, because they met the notability criteria and because they enter a limited public arena by their participation in publicized events which directly showcases their talents and competitive efforts.
Any information which is in the public, verifiable and from a reliable source, and is not presented in a way which unfairly discredits the subject somehow, is subject to reporting by anyone who accesses it. If the subject is deeply concerned about what is presented, she may herself communicate with Wikipedia and receive a detailed explanation of what she can expect. We take any attempts to slander or libel a person, especially living people very seriously. Outside of that, as I've described, her entry is valid. Note also that notability is not temporary, in that she was notable at the time of her participation in competitive sports.

Proposed deletion of Amy Alisara Arirachakaran

edit

The article Amy Alisara Arirachakaran has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Absolutely fails WP:NSKATE.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
