Article Review

edit

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katie_Couric

Is each fact referenced with an appropriate, reliable reference? Yes. Each fact has a highlighted blue word within it so that you can click on the link to see where the information is further located.

Is everything in the article relevant to the article topic? Is there anything that distracted you? Everything in the article is relevant to the topic. Everything being written has to do with some aspect of the persons life and there is nothing that I would say is distracting.

Is the article neutral? Are there any claims, or frames, that appear heavily biased toward a particular position? The article is very neutral. I do not see any evidenced of a biased opinion of this woman's life and career.

Where does the information come from? Are these neutral sources? If biased, is that biased noted? A source that I clicked on was a wikipedia page with little to no information about it. Just a mere one sentence describing the topic. "Now with Tom Brokaw and Katie Couric". I think that there could be more information on it if a person was trying to look for facts about that television program. Other than that there are not any articles that have issues.

Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented? Most of the article is written about her work and accomplishments as a news anchor and there is not much information about her personal life.

Check a few citations. Do the links work? Is there any close paraphrasing or plagiarism in the article? The links that i clicked on all work fine. I do not notice any paraphrasing or plagiarism.

Is any information out of date? Is anything missing that could be added? There is a smaller paragraph on the 2014-to present which could probably be updated with items that she is working on right now.
