Invitation to Pune hackathon in February

edit

I'm spreading the word about our Wikimedia hackathon 10-12 February 2012 in Pune.

https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Pune_Hackathon_Feb_2012

A Wikimedia hackathon is a chance to learn how to develop using MediaWiki, Phonegap, and our other technologies, and to work alongside experts. Software engineers, designers, and translators are welcome. We'll be focusing on internationalisation and localisation, mobile Wikipedia access, and the gadgets framework.

And feel free to publicize this elsewhere! Thank you.

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Sumein Bhat. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article.

You declared on the article's talk page that you are involved in creating the page, and so you miust not remove the speedy deletion tag even though it was a different user account that actually created the article. bonadea contributions talk 13:43, 28 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Sumein Bhat

edit

You wrote on the article's talk page:
"We are trying to make page for Mr.Sumein Bhat, it got delete. Could you please let us know why this page got deleted after providing so much reference links for Mr.Sumein."

My reply on that page (copied here in case it is deleted before you can see it) : Who are "we"? You (User:Sagarmarkal) have not made any edits to that page - the user who has been creating it, repeatedly, is User:Sumein Bhat who is presumably the person himself. To answer your question, there has not been a single reliable source, only Bhat's own website, Facebook page and similar, and there is no indication that the person is important or significant, according to Wikipedia's definition of significance. Furthermore, the article is written like an advertisement for the person and has previously been removed for that reason as well.

If you are employed by Sumein Bhat to create a Wikipedia page for him, you must declare your affiliation - see Wikipedia's conflict of interest policies. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 13:43, 28 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dear Bonadea, I am trying to make my page on wikipedia and asking for help to mr.wikipedians like sagarmarkal. Could you please help me to create my page. Requesting you to ask anyone to refine data as I am not the expert on wiki editing. Till that time please do not remove the page. I AM ADDING MY MEDIA LINKS LIKE YOUTUBE AND OTHERS. Sumein Bhat (talk) 13:54, 28 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please stop creating articles about yourself, and do not ask other people to create them, either. The reason has been explained on your user talk page multiple times; unfortunately you have now created your autobiography so many times that you risk having your user account blocked if you should do it again. I am sorry to be blunt, but please note that we must all respect Wikipedia's policies, and nobody is allowed to use Wikipedia to promote themselves. --bonadea contributions talk 14:00, 28 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
