February 2008 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to St Matthews University, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add your reference to the article. Thank you. Bstone (talk) 21:00, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to St Matthews University. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. - Philippe | Talk 22:47, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dr. Vincent Knight edit

I deleted this article. He seems like a minor detail that could be mentioned in the university article. If this is all the info we have on him, we don't want a biography. See also Wikipedia:Biographies of living people. Friday (talk) 00:33, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sometimes the right place for a given bit of information is not anywhere on Wikipedia. I don't know exactly what an executive dean is, but it might be worth mentioning in the article. The bit about the traffic stop is a problem tho- it's just a fairly irrelevant, sensationalist detail. Friday (talk) 00:41, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring edit

Please don't edit war. If you've made a controversial change and people are reverting it, talk it over on the talk page. Excessive reverting can get you blocked from editing. Friday (talk) 00:43, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
