[1] =CITY OF WINDHOEK TO EXTEND BOUNDARIES=

Groot Aub is a small settlement outside of the capital on the B1 road. Since 2008 its population has expanded greatly, since the prices of houses, water, and electricity.

But during this past two years people were asking the government to build for them a bridge but as we, but it did not happen at all because all that they did was to make a cement floor and the community of Groot Aub were not happy at all with that because it’s not a bridge and if the rain comes they will not be able to cross the river when they return from work. This year they also started to build a sewage system for this rural community after years of existence.

Since the start of 2012 the people were demanding for development and since development goes hand in hand with responsibilities and to pay for the delivery of service to the people The City Of Windhoekhas decided to expand its borders until the boundaries of the Hardap Region.

In the case of the Groot Aub settlement, the municipality would be responsible for delivering water, sanitation, electricity, refuse removal and roads.

And after begging the government the Groot Aub settlement will receive a bridge which is currently under construction at the moment. The City Of Windhoek Municipality will start to take charge of the settlement maybe by the beginning of next year.
