edit at rebel

edit

Hi, if you look at the articles that link to "rebel" it is clear that the rebellion meaning dominates rather than the meaning you entered. I have restored the redirect, though you may want to make rebel (disambiguation) as there is already another meaning at the top of rebellion. Thanks, BanyanTree 14:55, 5 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on The Murder of Betty Hudson, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Olessi 19:31, 28 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we must insist that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

As to your query about how you keep this article on Wikipedia, you need to show us why this murder is notable. A bit of local news coverage isn't going to do that. By the way, it seems you have a vested interest in making sure there is an article. I suspect you may have a conflict of interest and should review that policy.   Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia without either resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Thank you. Note that nobody as yet has suggested deleting this article. It will happen soon, but it is no longer a candidate for speedy deletion in my opinion. That means you'll have at minimum 5 days for anyone to expand the article and establish notability. Until notability is established, the maintenance template must remain. Erechtheus (talk) 15:54, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Is this your own picture? It looks like a professional photograph, which would be copyrighted and owned by the photographers. Furthermore, "Picture made freely available to all volunteers searching for information on the murder of Betty Hudson." does not mean that it's GFDL; any sort of restriction on who can use it is inconsistent with the GFDL.--Prosfilaes (talk) 16:37, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
