Wanna discuss about social technology

As the word social might refer to different areas as social work, which doesn't involve with Information Technology or Social Computing, I want to make sure that we are aiming at the right goal. Also, I want to check if there are similar words as social technology that might cover the same principles this article trying to establish, so we could combine it as another aspect of the same idea.
