Speedy deletion nomination of Terry Embler
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Terry Embler requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Deflagro (talk) 20:29, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to United States Senate election in North Carolina, 2014. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. This account it appears is for self-promotion only. You created a page for Terry Embler that was quickly deleted, and your only edits are now to insert Terry Embler into the Senate article.
Facebook is not a reliable source. Anyone can make a page for a senate run, and use it for just self-promotion. Also, according to the facebook page, it says Mr. Embler is with the Raleigh Police Dept. Sounds very close to "Rpd911". This make me wonder if this is infact Mr. Embler. Please, before re-adding, find a reliable source before readding. I wanted to explain this to you. Thank you! America69 (talk) 04:17, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

editThis is your last warning. The next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at United States Senate election in North Carolina, 2014, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. This is your final warning for self-promotion. I laid out the case above as to why this is self-promotion. America69 (talk) 20:16, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
It's not soapboxing or self promotion. I am simply putting on here that Terry Embler is a potential candidate for US Senate. If you would rather I didn't link the facebook page I will not. However, I am not the first to put this up here. (Rpd911 (talk) 12:12, 2 January 2013 (UTC))
