Fair use disputed for Image:BriefTextEditor.png edit

Thanks for uploading Image:BriefTextEditor.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:20, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

ClanLib edit

Hi Rombust, I don't think you fully read the prod tag; A link to clanlib.org satisfies neither WP:V ("Articles should rely on reliable, third-party published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy.") or WP:N ("If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article.")

If you think you can provide further references to satisfy these policies, please do so or contact me for further information. Marasmusine (talk) 11:11, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Rombust. Thanks for taking the time to add some references. Since the happypenguin source is self-published (the author is "ClanSoft"), and the LinuxGames news is effectively a "press release", they can't be considered third-party sources as required by WP:Verifiability policy. Both are a also a long shot from satisfying WP:Notability guidelines. I'll have a look myself, but if there's nothing suitable I'll take the article to AfD. Thanks, Marasmusine (talk) 14:28, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
