Notability of Ivoryline edit

The article Ivoryline has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. J Milburn (talk) 17:54, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Talk Page Signatures edit

I noticed that you seem to be signing your talk page comments with User:Rockismorethanmusic. Have you tried using four "~" ? as in ~~~~? Typing that will automatically sign your comments for you and then the signbot will not come and add it's signature. If you already know this and there is some other reason you are using the signature you are, feel free to ignore this message. Axcess (talk) 16:33, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Ivoryline edit

A tag has been placed on Ivoryline requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Children 18:3 edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Children 18:3, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Children 18:3. Children 18:3 edit

Hi Andrew, I've edited your article that was up for deletion, Children 18:3, and hopefully it's considered notable enough now since it now has refs and info about notability. I don't have feedback from anyone else about this, though, so others might still vote for deleting it. Just letting you know that I've tried my shot at "rescuing the article". The rest is basically now up to the Wikipedia community. Have a nice day! --JamieS93 02:36, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

No problem, you're welcome. :) As for Ivoryline, the article is currently fully protected; that is, only administrators can edit it. It looks like User:Starblind did this prevent re-creation of the article after the "6th deletion". The article has been speedy deleted (A7) at least five times, which means users were having strong notability concerns. And actually, I agree with the previous deletions; a Google search proves that the band isn't notable enough. If you want me to expound further on this, drop me a note. Also, let me know if you need help with anything else Christian music-related (I specialize in writing and editing those kinds of articles). Kind regards, JamieS93 13:28, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
