33rd Goya Awards

edit

Hello RocketFellow99, welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for approaching me. It does not directly relate to the event. The screening that has been canceled was organized by the activist group BDS, the screening in question and the activist group are unrelated to the Goyas ceremony and its organizers. The screening was canceled by the Archdiocese of Madrid, the decision and the archdiocese are unrelated to the Goyas ceremony and its organizers. The film that was going to be screened is Goya-nominated, but that does not mean that the screening and its cancellation are directly related to the Goyas event. The controversy is relevant to the film itself. There are other controversies related to other Goya-nominated films this year, films that have more presence in the ceremony, but listing the controversies around the nominated films would be excessive detail. Hello again, I saw that your last edit summary was "The event was supposed to be part of the ceremony until what seems like pro-israeli groups attempted to censor it. It does not fall under WP:TOOMUCH. Please do not engage in censorship". The screening was NOT going to be part of the Goyas ceremony, it was an unrelated screening that had been organized by the pro-Palestine activist group BDS in a pastoral center Madrid and scheduled for 2 February 2019. Please, do not accuse me engaging in censorship, and assume good faith per WP:GF. The content would be much better placed, much more pertinant and much more relevant in an article centered on the film Gaza, I invite you to create it. Baskesc (talk) 23:02, 2 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
