Hi, RockerballAustralia, Welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the Five pillars of Wikipedia and simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will be by to help you shortly.

Additional tips

Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!

  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
  • You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
  • If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.

Helpme

Hey, how can I help you? --JD[don't talk|email] 02:15, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

That's not actually something I know much about, but I've been told that at the bottom of articles (more like where you want them), it's best to use <references />. Hope that helps somewhat. --JD[don't talk|email] 02:27, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

The Irishman and the English Chick

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia by creating the nonsense article The Irishman and the English Chick. Your test worked, and has been or will soon be removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Please also see Wikipedia:The perfect article to learn more about appropriate article creation. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball.  (aeropagitica)  (talk)  06:28, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Emily Browning

Please don't make any edits about 'pizza shop', further, and I am asking that you refrain from further edits to that article. Please see that articles talk page and the talk page for user:big1. Cheers V. Joe 16:09, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Emily Browing (continued)

Sorry to have jumped the gun, but you seem to have been dished. Pizza shop is a movie that doesn't actually exist as anyone's major project. A fellow called big1, has set up a whole series of these (extremely) low budget films and adding them to a bunch of underage acctresses. He even tried to pass of his own website as a source, and was warned away by myself and another editor. In any case, up and coming starlets do not attach themselves or are not attached by thier guardians to films with 6,000 AUS budgets or even 60,000 AUS budgets. You couldn't land a major star like Emily Browning or the girl from the Harry Potter movies with anything less than several million US or backing from a major entertainment company like Universal, Viacom or Disney. This pizza-shop fellow is very persistent, but he is rather deluded. Cheers, and thanks for the prompt response. V. Joe 15:37, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:ChenKenichi.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:ChenKenichi.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

PattDogs Top 10

Films are generally not included on Wikipedia until there's evidence they will be finished. In this case, there's nothing but the trailer and none of the actresses have signed to the project. Any film resulting from this trailer would, right now, be a copyright violation of images from these actresses' other appearances. - Mgm|(talk) 12:24, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Please Stop

Please do not add times to 2006 AFL finals series - the templates have been designed to accomodate only the date, and this was for a reason. Also, is User:Rogendool a second account of yours? If it is, you'd want to read WP:SOCK and declare it quick smart (read the section on legitimate reasons for sockpuppets), or else it will be blocked. Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 07:37, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

My apologies - I see you were only fixing the edits by that user. Also, apologies for telling you to stop adding the dates, as you were just fixing them. Sorry again. Daniel.Bryant 07:39, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm not really sure what the answer to that is! I've posted your question at the Wikipedia Help Desk where you should get an answer pretty quickly! (Sorry for the late reply by the way.) --Casper2k3 09:12, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
