Printing press edit

Thanks for your work in removing the graffiti on this page. It might be worth having a look at this page: Wikipedia:Vandalism if you want to do this, especially the advice on how to revert a page is useful. --DannyWilde 09:33, 21 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

- Thanks for the info! Especially on the revert thing. That's much simpler than finding it and erasing it. :) RobertM525 06:30, 25 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

EB1911 edit

Hi, your right, it is a problem not only with EB1911 (the poster child) but a lot of other older works (see all the articles that draw from the Jewish Encyclopedia from 1906 for example). I added a section to the "Origins of the bias" in Wikipedia:WikiProject Countering systemic bias about EB1911. And with the Project Gutenberg project to transfer the entire EB1911 online (see Encyclopedia Britannica Eleventh Edition) there is good justification to keep Wikipedia and EB1911 separate (at least verbatum copy). If you want to help reduce some of it, take a look at the edits for user Pwqn -- I reverted his edits back to about September or so, but there's a lot more that needs to be done. And that's just one case of mass text transfer. Anyway, I see your in school your probably better off focusing your time there in the big picture than chasing EB1911 vandals.-- Stbalbach 15:55, 20 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

LOL. Yeah, while I support your quest, I can't actively take much of a part in it myself. :) Working full-time + going to college = no free time. Well, okay, add World of Warcraft in there, and Wikipedia's reduced to a hobby. :) RobertM525 05:19, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:WoWBloodElfNPCs.JPG) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:WoWBloodElfNPCs.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Non-free use disputed for Image:World_of_Warcraft_Human_Male_Paladin.jpg edit

  This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:World_of_Warcraft_Human_Male_Paladin.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 12:16, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Redirect of Races in Warcraft edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Races in Warcraft, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Races in Warcraft is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Races in Warcraft, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Shaw's "Black girl in search of God" edit

Robert:

  • What sort of additional references do you have in mind?
  • What requires verification?
  • The article is linked to the George Bernard Shaw bio. What other link is needed?

Wugo (talk) 02:29, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Shaw specifies that biblical statement, "Seek and you shall find." as the basis for his story. Are you saying the reference to the source should be removed? You can read the story, if you wish, at http://www.wikilivres.info/wiki/The_Black_Girl_in_Search_of_God

Wugo (talk) 03:12, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is absurd. The biblical citation is solely for the convenience of the readers. You may edit it out if you think it is objectionable. What other references, verifications and links do you suggest? Wugo (talk) 14:04, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your suggestions may very well be valid. Can you implement them? I am rather busy at the moment. Wugo (talk) 21:57, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for April 18 edit

Hi. When you recently edited Pringlea antiscorbutica, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cress (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Removal of sourced content edit

Do not remove cited content from articles, as you did at Freddy vs. Jason. DarkKnight2149 20:03, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

It's wrong. Freddy and Jason aren't in that game. Cited or not, the information is wrong. Freddy is in MK9 and Jason is in MX10. RobertM525 (talk) 23:36, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Except, yes they are. They are both playable in the mobile version of the game. And yes, Freddy Krueger was also in MK9. You should read our policies on verifiability and citing sources. DarkKnight2149 00:46, 21 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
The article said nothing about the mobile version and, IMO, it's useless trivia anyway. (Worth mentioning on each character's page but not on the page for that specific movie.) But, ya know what, you seem to have some kind of strong connection to that article, so you do whatever you want with it. I don't care anymore. I spotted an error, I tried to fix it. I have no interest in getting into an edit war with you. RobertM525 (talk) 04:04, 21 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Mobile is arguably just another platform, like consoles. The game's article even lists mobile devices as platforms in the infobox. Although my frustration in prior edit summaries was mainly directed at the article's history of persistent disruption from inexperienced and IP users (which seems to have been going on for years now). It might be time for yet another semi-protection if it continues. DarkKnight2149 05:48, 21 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited AF Corse, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Duncan Cameron (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
