Dear Onion,

As I am the only one who actually knows anything relevant about Harikesa Swami, it would be counter productive to block me. The reason that I started to correct these inappropriate statements is due to the vandalism that occurred on another page that redirected users of Wiki to this page. A person blanked the page of Robert Campagnola's entry in wiki and placed a redirect to Harikesa Swami. This could not be corrected as the vandalism continued. Therefore I nominated that page be deleted. It seems to have been so. To make any search on Robert Campagnola go to Harikesa Swami is incorrect as it does not reflect the reality of who either of these persons are. Robert Campagnola is not Harikesa Swami. This name was accepted for some time and was left behind. Robert has a totally different life and does not use nor have any connection to this previous name. To remove all entries related to Robert Campagnola and restrict his biography to be related to one isolated incident (his departure from ISKCON) and ignore the thousands of other events with far greater import is not only unfair but it borders on libelous. Why have an entry at all for Harikesa Swami when his only notoriety according to this Wiki is that he took some medicine and left ISKCON? Is this the standard of Wikipedia?

The discography is a joke and has nothing to do with the works of Harikesa Swami who did record 26 albums from 1979 to 1996. The listed albums are, as noted by me, incorrect and are not works of Harikesa Swami. If you argue that the works of Hari are the works of Harikesa Swami then you are making the mistake of thinking that an alias of the past should carry over to the present. Harikesa Swami only relates to a person who lived and worked within ISKCON not to a person did other things. Therefore the entry of Robert Campagnola was created to insure that there was a distinction between the two. Since that did not work, then there is only this entry. If this entry should exist, and I nominated it for deletion because I cannot see how it has any value when the information within it is insignificant and not of interest as a biography when it does not address 30 years of work in ISKCON and only addresses two small events, namely, the initiation and departure. If you are an editor of Wiki, then why are you maintaining this illusion that this text represents anything?

And when I edit it to reflect truth, you become upset. I tried to put a more comprehensive biography that did indeed reflect the history, but that was vandalized. If you allow others who do not know the history and who have an agenda to edit, then why not me who is attempting to stop incorrect and libelous information from appearing? I am not sure of my legal options, but I shall certainly investigate them.

Is verification of a fact a simple act of linking to some text found in some other website? Anyone can write anything in a website, there is no checking of it. I dispute the texts in other websites.

I have restored the full text that was relevant to the biography of Harikesa Swami. It is far more interesting and reflects the history in a broader manner. RobertC - Hari (talk) 14:43, 3 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
