Why no need to give info about Pritchard ??? edit

Sir he was first Olympic medalist of India. His medals are credited to India,Indian Olympic Association alos says same in their official stand. Newton Euro (talk) 15:16, 9 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Newton Euro. If you see I had left the basic info about him because of that very reason - I agree he competed for India. But the article is about NEERAJ CHOPRA. That information about him can be provided later on in the article. But the head section should contain concise, clear info about Chopra alone.
Anyways some other editors have removed it. Just letting you know I don't support it. My only intention was keeping the article focused on Chopra.
Happy editing!

Sir , then why Mirabai Chanu's article have mention about 'Karnam maleshwari'. Why they mentioned about Abhinav Bindra in this article, b'cause it's important to mention that , India previously also won medal in athletics. If you mentioned in one article about Karnam malleshwari, the firat Olympic weightlifting medalist then you also have to mention the first track and field medalist of India. Some folks are racist here, Norman Pritchard was a white and British that's why they don't wan his name here. But our highest body , who select athletes for Olympicals , fight to World and says that Norman was our athlete. IOC alos gave this medals to India. But vandals are removing this info again and again. See our great nation have history of winning medal of 120 years, we should have proud in this. We won first silver in just second olympic games, it's a. Big thing. They want to erase Norman Pritchard name from history but it can't happen. Newton Euro (talk) 07:46, 10 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Newton Euro: I completely agree with you. My only intention was to keep the head section clear and concise. Pritchard's extra info about his medal and sport was making it too wordy and off-topic. I didn't remove his name, someone else did that. I only removed the extra stuff. If you see the history I have also tried to keep his name. The article you referenced, "Mirabai Chanu" also only mentions Karnam Malleshwari's name, not give details about her achievements.
You can't target me for this. Rishabhbhat (talk) 09:04, 10 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sir, but we have to stick to the stand of IOC & IOA, Theses are highest governing bodies of Olympics in the world and in India respectively. Newton Euro (talk) 09:08, 10 August 2021 (UTC)\Reply

@Newton Euro: again I repeat. I AM WITH YOU. I am NOT trying to remove his name.
