December 2012 edit

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Lughaya. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Hop n hop (on the arctic ice) 04:27, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Gyrofrog. Your recent edit to the page Borama appears to have added incorrect information, so I removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Gyrofrog (talk) 14:28, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did to Borama, without verifying it by citing reliable sources. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. I checked the source (http://siteresources.worldbank.org/SOMALIAEXTN/Resources/Boroma_Statistical_Abstract.pdf) and it doesn't give any population figure. Please specify where you found this figure (page number etc.) Gyrofrog (talk) 19:05, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

P.S. I'm not sure if (or how) you extrapolated the total population from the number of voters on page 14, but please see Wikipedia:No original research. Thanks, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 19:09, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Borama, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you. Gyrofrog (talk) 19:06, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Borama. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You need to specify the source in which others can verify this population figure. You mentioned World Bank and UNDP: What is the name of the document? Where can we find it? What page number contains the information? Etc. Gyrofrog (talk) 22:16, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Borama, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Gyrofrog (talk) 08:50, 14 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at Borama. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
