on Hoary

edit

You should read some of the things hoary has said about what I have composed on WP He has some more audicity and should not be an administrator on here He is brusk and lacks manners when it comes to understanding the idea of nuance which is what is needed when one deals with anything about artists or their work. I find him reprehensible. After his initial atack and my comments back to him, would you believe he actually went into my backlogs and started gleaning everything that he possibly could to demean any articles that I have worked on. He is a certain type of administrator that should be de-listed. In my opinion he has no cares as to how he edits, at least he things deletions are edits, Anyone can delete and not deal with the consequences of hanging articles. When another person sees the hanging articles they want to delete because his edits have caused them to ask this question. Hoary is like a bull in the china shoppe. Thank you for your words It's always comforting knowing somebody shares the same opinion. I was really surprised by some contributors attitude and manners. Almost made me leave the site and never come back for any more editing. Funny I haven't noticed Hoary is an administrator until you mentioned it. As I got to know him so far I agree, he should not be, sigh... -- Rikapt 23:03, 12 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

on Karel Cudlín

edit

Hello from your nemesis! I've just created an article on Karel Cudlín. It's not much good, but it does seem to be better than what's at cs:WP. Do please improve it if you can. -- Hoary 12:59, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Hope you don't mind I don't take you as my nemesis. ;-) Although I am not that knowing in the photography subject, I will try to improve the article by adding some information from Czech Internet. The English article on Karel Cudlín is indeed better then the one in cs:WP as there is none :-)). Unfortunately I am extremely busy lately and I doubt I can do anything about these two (or any other) articles before end of February. But I am adding remarks to do it into my main user page. --Rikapt 16:41, 6 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ah, splendid, we're still on speaking terms! Right, I realized that cs:WP had nothing on Cudlín, which surprised me because as a (casual, Czech-non-speaking) tourist in the Czech Republic, and more specifically in its bookstores, I got the impression that he was fairly well known. I do think that he deserves to be. (In view of his excellent work in the Ukraine, I wonder if he'll get an article in Ukrainian or Russian before he gets one in Czech. Indeed, perhaps he has already got one. Unfortunately my incompetence in Cyrillic script, let alone Slavic languages, makes it hard for me to investigate.) Happy editing, in any language. -- Hoary 11:11, 7 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

TGGWS

edit

Though I agree that AIT deserves the controversial label due to the media hoopla that surrounded it and Gore's methodology, it has been concluded that TGGWS deserves the label because of distorted data in its graphs. ~ S0CO(talk|contribs) 16:03, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry. I quickly checked the talk page before my edit but somehow I totally missed the section where the wording of the frist sentence has been disputed. Indeed both films should be labeled the same but somehow I don't see it will happen in near future. I just thought removing the word controversial from the first sentence of the TGGWS article is a more positive attitude. Again, sorry for overlooking it has been discussed before. No problem. And yes, I fear that the resistance to applying the label to AIT (however correct it is) would be too strong to be worth the headache. ~ S0CO(talk|contribs) 18:10, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
