Boaz Zippor in 2011

Boaz Zippor, born 1972 in Tel-Aviv, Israel, is a notable Artist, Photographer, Poet and Writer, based in Thailand. He is the author of Anthology (3 volumes)[1], Waiting, a book of verses[2], and Visual Poetry, a collection of fine art photography from Bangkok 2008-2009 (2 volumes)[3]. Zippor is well-known in Thai society as a portrait and stage photographer, artist and author whose creations are sold at exhibitions held around the world in Thailand, Hong Kong, China, United States, Israel, Spain, and Italy[4][5][6].

History

Boaz Zippor was educated at Istituto Europeo Di Design in Milan, Italy, majoring in Industrial Design and Visual Communications – earning a degree in industrial design in 1997. Later he was founder and director of two multimedia and design companies, viz., Anything.it in Italy and KOTO-FOIRD in Israel[7].

He developed his own career as an artist, photographer and poet, which began with several exhibitions of mixed media and large-scale prints, debuting in an exhibition at Via Malaga Art Center in Milan in 2001[8].

Zippor moved to Bangkok, Thailand in 2003 where he initially worked as art-director and creative-director for AMA Design, HYM Design, and California Wow Experience [9]. As a solo artist Zippor has held 14 exhibitions of mixed media / multimedia projections / photography as of 2011 which have garnered media attention[10].

Charity works

Zippor began his involvement in charity work with organizations such as Latet in Israel. He is currently involved in supporting several projects in Thailand including Camillian Hospital, Rotary Club Bangkok South, Baan Unrak, Baan Prakart, Newsmakers Clutter Sale, and Bangkok Opera Education Fund, most of which are projects in the field of education for under-privileged children[11].
