Reverts

Hey this is fun!

It's impolite, because no explanation was given in either case. I don't expect a full essay -- a couple of words would help. I shouldn't have to guess, because that could lead to a misinterpretation of Wikipedia policy. Others might see that this was done, and follow suit, reverting other valuable(?) contributions. Personally, I'm not at risk of this, because I don't believe in taking away from the body of knowledge without serious soul searching. Even if it's a link to an easily found kit car manufacturer, or a half-sentence relating some significant current event.

Now, it didn't take much time to research and make those edits, but I hope this isn't the way of Wikipedia, or I might not bother to contribute more significant editorial in future. If a significant edit (such as I made to the Solar storm of 1859 article) were to be reverted without comment, I'd take offence. Wouldn't you?
