Rock Band Network article

edit

Hey, thanks for doing all the heavy lifting on the RBN songs page...but there's a number of issues that we're trying to work out, and you don't seem to be participating in any of these discussions. It would be helpful if all editors were on the same page. Thanks! -- TRTX T / C 18:07, 23 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Network songs

edit

I'm not getting something, I searched for The Word Alive, Emmure and Woe, Is Me and a few others and they're not showing up while shopping on the Rock Band Network for Rock Band 2. The songs from the last update (December 9) are being show and availble for purchase, so I'm not getting this; did they cease adding the December 14th update or something? This makes no sense. • GunMetal Angel 21:26, 14 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Since you've been doing a good job of that table, I have a question on the edit you did just now to remove songs. I am assuming this songs were pulled from RBN but at one point were offered (as opposed to just bogus entries)? If that's the case, I recommend leaving them in there but flagging them that they have since been removed from the service. --MASEM (t) 20:10, 14 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

where do you get your dates? dalton32389 02:58 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dalton32389 (talkcontribs) 08:59, 31 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

I get the information for the release dates via blog posts by RockBand.com. Example: http://www.rockband.com/blog/new-to-rbn-2212Recliner Man 19:20, 2 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I would prefer to see the dates of when the songs hit the Xbox Live Marketplace, since those are the dates the songs are actually available. Maybe change "release date" to "announced"? I don't know, just a couple suggestions. I'm far too lazy to edit the page myself, so I'm not suggesting that, heh. I was the one who tried to change a few dates to the Marketplace dates about a month ago. No hard feelings. Thanks. • Dalton32389 01:33, 8 February 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.97.41.48 (talk) Reply

The only thing about that suggestion is that any given song's arrival in the Marketplace doesn't guarantee it will be available in the official Rock Band store. Much like when an album is finished and mastered but the artist still waits until the release date to unleash it to the the public. So I wait until an official announcement that properly indicates that the song is indeed available through the Rock Band Store, ready to be consumed by the public at large (a.k.a. us). • Recliner Man 19:24, 9 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
