Swarthmore College edits

edit

Hey, just wanted to discuss your removal of the ARWU rankings from the Swarthmore College article. While I understand your problems with the methodology, Swarthmore does have a ranking. I personally find keeping the ARWU ranking helpful as I'm totally blind and Wikipedia is far easier for me to navigate with my Screen reader than the ARWU site. Is keeping the ranking in the article actively doing harm/detracting from the experience in some way? Happy to remove it if so, just want to understand. Hi. I was surprised with the big difference between it and other rankings for Swarthmore, is why I looked into the methodology. I am ok with leaving it in if you find it useful. Thanks. RealCoyote (talk) 23:12, 3 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
That makes sense. Out of curiosity, do you have any affiiliation with Swarthmore (this looks to be your only edit)? I'm a current (final semester) student. Codeofdusk (talk) 23:15, 3 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Have a kid who will be attending, hence my interest. Congratulations on finishing your program (I know it is a lot of work). Hope you had a good experience as a student and best wishes on your next step. RealCoyote (talk) 02:59, 4 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Wow, that's great! Best of luck on their starting. It is indeed a lot of work, but also rewarding – as stated on my userpage, I'll be working at Microsoft from late August. Codeofdusk (talk) 03:01, 4 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Congratulations! Microsoft is a wonderful company and Seattle is a great city. RealCoyote (talk) 03:37, 4 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
