I saw you just took out the information on some Bidisha Mohanty. I have taken it out several times, only to find it back up. I do not know of her, but another user is determined to put her name in there. And so I just put it there out of exhaustion of his/her adamant effort. People all across the world come to wiki for information and it is not good when some people try to use this as a way to publicize their name. Thanks for taking that step, Rani2010.

Hi, Could you please elaborate on the justification of removing Guru Dr. Bidisha Mohanty's name. I had tried to put her in the same pedestral as she deserves to be which is only commanded with years of dedication and devotion. I had provided the apt validations to Mr/Ms. Mukkhuu in the past as a result of which it was placed and then after so many months it was again deleted and after citing the references Mukkhuu elaborated it a bit further which was a little bit far fetched i.e. "pioneered the spread of Odissi in the USA for the last nine years and teaches in the Bay Area". I duly corrected it to "pioneered the spread of Odissi (Deba Prasad Das gharana)in the USA for the last nine years and currently teaches in the Bay Area". For Guru Dr. Bidisha Mohanty, who is as humble as humble can be, it would be righteous to just have her name. I have duly added her name. For additional considerations please visit the talk page of Mukkhuu. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karan1974 (talkcontribs) 18:27, 30 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

@Karan/Bidisha: Just to make sure I am understood... ref: "I had provided the apt validations to Mr/Ms. Mukkhuu in the past as a result of which it was placed"... you had your way because you seemed to be really really desperate to give the humble Guru Dr. Bidisha Mohanty prominence through wiki. '-------------------

@Mukkhuu: Would request you to please not address my name with Guru Dr. Bidisha Mohanty. I am just a normal person who is doing his part to give due recognition to the Guru of his two daughters and for a host of other eager learners. In this life, I don't think I have accomplished anything like her nor I think I can. I can't say that about you either. However, based on the statements you make, put wrong citations, exhibit mercurial temperament etc. it seems you must be indeed a great person. Hence, please don't associate my name with her and just address the comments to me and me only.

I have been truly amazed/ inspired by such a learned person who apart from being a learned person in the academic arena (MBA and also a Ph.D) is also an Odissi Dance exponent which very few Odissi Gurus can boast of. Indeed most of the Gurus are well versed in dance but how many are academically accomplished. How many on their own can state what their mission is to the global audience without the need of an interpreter (I speak from my own experience here have seen the performance of 5 Gurus (Local and International) here in USA). Thanks for appreciating my persistence (though you had some other kind words like "really really desperate" to describe it) but the same also applies to you, for you are hell bent of deleting her name or mis-representing it.

I just wanted to give her due recognition but you seem to have got carried away and called out her name in a new sentence attributing the pioneering of Odissi in USA to her, which definitely is not correct. Attributing such a sentence was a kind of a implied mockery on your part or let's say "flaming" to incite the learned community to react about such a bold statement and hence I had duly corrected it. I have come to know that she is one of the early propagators of the "Deba Prasad gharana" and if you indeed had so much knowledge that "Trinayan Dance Collective" is one of the pioneers then what were YOU thinking when you put that statement against Guru Dr. Bidisha Mohanty. Isn't that blasphemous or false representation on your part, which is meant to vilify her. Please refrain from this kind of actions.

One thing for you to ponder over: Who put the names of the Gurus as Kelucharan sir, Pankaj sir, Gangadhar sir and host of others on this portal. Did these Gurus come over to this page and put it themselves. I don't think that would have been the case. These have been put up by people who believed they were able Gurus and need to get the recognition they deserve. Had Guru Dr. Bidisha Mohanty wanted to be famous thru Wiki, then her name should have been appearing when this page was put up during 2004 and not in 2011.Thanks.

@Rani2010: I would still earnestly request you to spare some time and go thru the justifications I had provided to user Mukkhuu in the past, for the inclusion of Guru Dr. Bidisha Mohanty's name. Would also request you to go thru the above response to Mukkhuu. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karan1974 (talkcontribs) 04:39, 31 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi Rani2010 and obviously Hi to "IndianDanceCritic", "OdissicriticDelhi" and "DanceCritic1971". In case you are surprised, fact is you should not be surprised at all. I have put forth some snippets from the findings by the wiki admins for your ready reference. You would have seen your mock user ids blocked. Critic for sure :) but strangely only for Dr. Bidisha Mohanty.

Editbot3 was more-or-less an SPA working on the Odissi article. Editbot3 last edited on July 19 of this year, and was then soft-blocked for username violations (the username looks like a bot impersonation).
Mukkhuu was created on July 24, after Editbot3's last edit but before the block. I realize that with username softblocks we allow, even encourage editors to create new accounts. So if these are the same editor, that isn't a problem. For all intents and purposes, Mukkhuu could probably be considered the new "master" account but since there is suspicion that Mukkhuu and Editbot3 are the same editor, and Editbot3 is a much older account, I named Editbot3 as the master.
Mukkhuu edited in much the same way as Editbot3, with the vast majority of edits being made to the Odissi article and a handful of related articles.
Just today, Karan1974 made a report to ANI complaining about multiple accounts that they suspect to be the same person, which has led to slow-motion edit wars at the before-mentioned Odissi article. The 3 newer accounts have only edited that article (except for a single edit to Sonal Mansingh by IndianDanceCritic) and they seem to support Mukkhuu's intention to remove or otherwise obfuscate mention of "Dr. Bidisha Mohanty" from the article, and especially to remove a particular external link, an example in this link. The report at ANI linked above has diffs showing efforts from DanceCritic1971 to remove that information from the article. You will see a huge similarity in username and interest between the other 2 newer accounts as well.
The behavioral evidence isn't enough for me to take any action per WP:DUCK, but it's enough to suspect that there may be validity to the claims of sockpuppetry. So I'm requesting checkuser for these accounts, they have all edited within the past few months so there should be data available. -- Atama頭 21:29, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
Gah I need to pay better attention, Mukkhuu started in 2010. Sheesh. That makes this worse, then, that would mean that Editbot3 was editing concurrently with Mukkhuu on the same pages. Good catch Steven, if I'd gotten more sleep last night I probably wouldn't have slipped up like that. Thank you. -- Atama頭 04:16, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Clerk endorsed. There's enough overlap between the two in terms of editing style, content and behavior here to warrant a check. I've updated the case to reflect the master account, as Mukkhuu was the first account created. Steven Zhang The clock is ticking.... 01:52, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Confirmed OdissicriticDelhi (talk · contribs) = IndianDanceCritic (talk · contribs) = DanceCritic1971 (talk · contribs) = Rani2010 (talk · contribs) straight matches, but they Unlikely belong to Mukkhuu (talk · contribs).
Editbot3 (talk · contribs) seems Likely to be Mukkhuu's, though. - Mailer Diablo 04:58, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Administrator note: DeltaQuad blocked the 4 matching socks above (that's two pair of socks!). Editbot3 was blocked over a month ago already due to username problems and it looks like Mukkhuu hasn't used sockpuppets since, so any further sanctions would seem punitive at this time. I've left a warning and I think that would be sufficient. -- Atama頭 17:19, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

A simple question to you: Please let us know if you have any personal feud against Dr. Bidisha Mohanty? You have time and again over this long period of time, using various fake profiles edited her name without giving an iota of justification. Your behavior of self-imposition without any sort of discussion is very unhealthy for the wiki community. Your amount of persistense towards editing out her name using 4 different profiles and over this period of time speaks volumes about the personal reasons you have against the person. Now that the facts have been brought to light and your motives known, please refrain from doing further edits and malign her name. We would welcome your thoughts about why you feel that Dr. Bidisha Mohanty should not be listed. Just plain deletes do not help anybody. Unless you have some valid facts, please accept the fact the Dr. Bidisha Mohanty is indeed a great Guru in Odissi Dance with a wide amount of Odissi learning and Odissi teaching experience and who is also academically well versed. Refusal to understand facts does not change anything. And please make constructive use of your time. This way of exhibiting mercurial temperament, sneaky & sly behavior is bad and we don't think you can be an unbiased editor on wiki specifically.

Thank you. --Karan1974 (talk) 21:22, 22 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
