It is good for sake of clarity to mention status of occupied territories in WWII

edit

It was told to me that mentioning that WWII former Poland's territories were used by the nazis to set up concentration camps was 'paranaoia'. I don't think it is the case. I think it is just to mention at least once in every relevant article that it was former Poland's territory or Nazi-occupied Poland. A lot of Wiki readers have very misty knowledge of history at best and it is vital they know what "Poland" means in that context (as the country did not exist at all then). It is a very common mistake and often unintentional or simply based on ignorance. Ralphhalgas (talk) 20:28, 16 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Russia and Rus'

edit

Russia are Rus' are different entities from different eras. Calling Poland-Rus' wars Polish -Russian wars distorts historical truth and plays into historical falsehood, which is that Russia is purportedly a successor of Kiev an Rus'. It is only supported by Russian establishment.

Currently, the countries that are historical heirs to Rus' are Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus.

Please correct it to indicate the difference between ancient Rus' and modern Russia (Muscovy and its successor countries). Ralphhalgas (talk) 15:17, 30 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
