Lakes in Bangalore

Hi! Raise Ikblr,

Nice to see some one writing on Banglore Lakes. In the last few weeks I have posted a number of DYKs on Lakes of India including the Hesaraghatta Lake and the Kukkarahalli lake in Karnataka and also on Cubbon Park, Mysore mallige and Halegannda. I have made some editorial corrections in the Bangalore Lake article.

I wish to know why lake management has been taken away from the LDA? What is the outcome of the controversy on Private-Public partnership for restoring and maintaining the lakes of Bangalore.Who is in charge of Ulsoor Lake and what measures are envisaged for its restoration and maintenance. Has it also come under the Private -Public sector controvery? I intend to write an artcile on Ulsoor Lake and hence the query.--Nvvchar (talk) 15:28, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Bangalore map

I assume you want a bangalore locator map similiar to what has been done with chennai, right? an svg map is not necessary, you can use the osm map that you uploaded for the purpose, as a start. all you need to do know is to get the coordinates of the four borders of the map that you uploaded. just note down the coordinates from the osm export page itself and let me know -- ^{PlaneMad|YakYak} 19:24, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

a map and coordinates are all you need, then you just need to add a couple of parameters to {{Infobox_Indian_Jurisdiction/Parameters}} so that the infobox uses the maps. since its protected, i will get an admin to make the changes and let you know -- ^{PlaneMad|YakYak} 04:33, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

not a big deal :) anyway, dont be too bothered about svg. the svg export will be pretty big and will be constantly updated on osm, it doesnt make sense to duplicate all that info here when one can pretty much access the latest map directly on osm. what id suggest is to make a custom svg city map based on the osm map just like how i did for chennai, so that only major roads are shown -- ^{PlaneMad|YakYak} 08:42, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Fazer

Why are you being so difficult? The Fazer made in India does not have an article. If you took the trouble to actually look at Yamaha Fazer you would see that it is a dismabiguation page with a red link to the Indian model. --Biker Biker (talk) 11:01, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
