McCorkle

edit

I suggest you stop making that same edit. The source doesn't say straight armbar. One more and you'll be edit warring. Paralympiakos (talk) 22:16, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I suggest you learn jiu-jitsu. The technique was not a kimura.

The question is, who do I trust? Some person on the internet, or reliable sources from respected journalists? Paralympiakos (talk) 22:24, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

As you can see here, the technique McCorkle utilized was indeed a straight armbar from a modified position (full guard). A kimura is a lock that twists the shoulder by positioning the arm behind the back at an extreme angle. The lock that McCorkle used placed all of the strain on Hunt's elbow with the hand positioning of a straight armbar. Your source may have been confused because Hunt was in a position that would traditionally have ended in a kimura.

I still disagree based on most sources, but if you're going to change it, just change the statement of what sub it was, not the source. We don't need two lots of sherdog references. Paralympiakos (talk) 21:57, 14 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I doubt the people who write those articles are BJJ blackbelts. And wasn't that exactly what I was doing?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Raide Ortega (talkcontribs)

You were replacing the mmajunkie source (I think it was) with a sherdog one, that we already have. You were basically duplicating the source which was pointless. Paralympiakos (talk) 23:27, 14 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
