Isle of Wight edit

I thought you should be aware that the recent edit you made to the Isle of Wight article is in no way 'minor'. Please see WP:MINOR for details on what constitutes a minor edit, and what to do if you accidentally mark a minor edit as major. I also note, on inspection of the article's edit history, that you have inserted this material before and it was removed by another editor. If you genuinely think this material should be in the article, please go to the relevant discussion on the article's talk page. I agree that reverting as POV may have seemed harsh, but please remember that WikiPedia is built by consensus and simply re-inserting text without discussing the change is not a good way to start building your case.

I have reverted your edit. Please go to the Talk Page to discuss. If you are wondering why you have received this message, please also drop me a message. Thank you. --Peeky44 (talk) 12:17, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Additional: The revert was actually made by User:NeilTarrant about a minute before I would have done. Once again, please enter the discussion on the relevant discussion on the article's talk page. --Peeky44 (talk) 12:29, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Warnings edit

November 2008 edit

  1.   Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary for your edits. I noticed that many of your edits do not include an Edit summary .
  2.   Please remember to mark your edits as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you.
While having edits reverted is annoying, the way to get around this is discussion, not just re-instating material.--Peeky44 (talk) 12:17, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

June 2009 edit

Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to List of Doctor Who serials, as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Aside from your edits being far from minor, if you had taken time to refer to the talk page you would see that early seasons of Doctor Who are commonly referred as seasons, so agreed consensus is that is the term that should be applied. magnius (talk) 16:04, 24 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
