Your changes to Point of sail

edit

Hi, I have just reverted your changes to Point of sail. The principle of Wikipedia is that its content is supported by a reliable source. This is explained under WP:RS. An edit should have a citation that means the reader can check that what Wikipedia says is correct.

I appreciate that this article is not well provided with references before you started work on it, but you still need the content that you add to be based on references. ThoughtIdRetired (talk) 23:25, 20 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Fair enough.I may have to go through some America's Cup videos with timestamps, as there are few written sources to draw upon. For what it's worth though, I'm right. I'll try to prove it better. Qtrfoil (talk) 23:44, 20 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I would say that the previous version, to which you've reverted, also failed to provide a source for their claim. The original point was "common knowledge" for centuries, but it is not accurate. Qtrfoil (talk) 23:46, 20 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Your last point is what I meant by this article is not well provided with references. Wikipedia is not a perfect world. Cheers, ThoughtIdRetired (talk) 19:43, 21 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
